Abstract art

I’ve been experimenting with my bellows rig and doing some abstract art pictures.  As it turns out, its a lot of fun and not too difficult.  Have a look at the picture below and let me know what you think.  I’m thinking a huge print of this would be really cool!

Canon G10 Macro Fun

CicadaI’m taking some time to learn my Canon G10 so this morning I did some macro photography.  I just used a Nikon SB600 flash with printer paper for a diffuser to get this shot of a cicada shell.  Set the camera to macro, in manual mode and fired the flash with Pocket Wizards and Bob’s your uncle, a hideous monster.  I haven’t done a lot of macro photography because I don’t have any macro lenses for my DSLRs, but with the G10 I think I’ll play around with this a bit more.
